Daryl V. Storrs Artworks
I make block prints based on my drawings. The images are hand carved from linoleum or wood. After cutting, the interlocking color blocks are printed in successive layers onto handmade Japanese paper with highly pigmented oil based inks. Oftentimes the images are taken from pastels which I paint outside when the weather is good. On colder and wetter days I might be found in my barn studio making jewelry which is hand printed, painted, varnished and mixed with metal. In all of these mediums I focus on color and the beauty of the landscape.
